Seeking Mental Health Treatment While Transitioning
“In my 22 years of military service I never sought counseling or mental health treatment as I faced challenges in my roles as a leader, woman, mother, wife, caregiver, or Soldier. I’m not saying I didn’t need it or that I could have benefitted from it, but it was taboo at the time so it was not an option. But in transition, it became my only option when I faced challenges in the process. Hear my story and let it encourage you. You are not alone in this process.”
